PeekExam is in early access — you may experience occasional bugs or rough edges as we refine it. We're improving it every week.
PeekExam is a modified Safe Exam Browser with Peeksolve loaded as a native WKWebExtension. Every shortcut, every mode, every model — working inside any .seb exam file your teacher hands you.
PeekExam captures the exam page through WebKit's native snapshot API, sends it to the model, and floats the answer back in a lightweight overlay.
The agent finds every answerable field — radio, checkbox, text, select, even drag-and-drop — picks the right answer, and fills it. Then it re-reads itself to catch any miss.
God Mode answers the page, clicks "Next", answers the next — walking a multi-page exam entirely on its own. You watch the progress bar and get a toast when it's done.
Select text for an instant answer, or type your own question — paste a screenshot alongside it.
Change model, answer profile and plan from a settings tab — without leaving the browser.
Flip "Think first" and the model reasons step-by-step — higher accuracy on physics, finance and logic.
The overlay stays open across answers — ask follow-ups, request a working, attach a new screenshot.
DeepSeek V4.1 Flash (fastest), Gemini 3 Flash, Claude Sonnet 5.5 — switch per question in the popup.
For Moodle "click a spot" questions — zooms the image, overlays rulers, returns precise coordinates.
No config to edit, no injection. Here's exactly what happens between double-clicking a .seb file and pressing your first shortcut.
Double-click the exam config your teacher gave you — or a sebs:// link. PeekExam opens it exactly like stock SEB, with the full lockdown. No edits, no special keys.
The extension manager registers Peeksolve as a native WKWebExtension before the first web view opens — a legitimate browser extension inside SEB's own WebKit, not an injection. On the way it checks version.json and pulls the latest build.
SEB signs the session with its Config Key and Browser Exam Key. The extension setting is excluded from every one of those computations, so the hashes an LMS checks are bit-for-bit identical to stock SEB. See the proof ↓
Permissions auto-grant — no prompts mid-exam. Sign-in hosts and Stripe stay reachable through the strict URL filter. Your Mac's hardware UUID binds the account to one device, and classic kiosk mode keeps it working without Apple's AAC entitlement.
That's it. Peeksolve is already a live tab listener. Hit ⌘⇧L and the answer appears — on macOS 15.4 or later, signed and Full-Disk-Access ready.
PeekExam is built on the open-source SEB codebase (MPL-licensed by ETH Zürich). The Peeksolve extension loads via Apple's official WKWebExtension API — a native browser-extension mechanism, not an injection or hack.
Uses SEB's pre-AAC lockdown mode — compatible with every .seb config and every macOS build.
Auth tokens refresh silently in the background — no sudden "please log in" dialog mid-session.
Shortcuts stay alive after config reloads — no "shortcut dead" window during a session.
Your questions and answers never leave your Mac for us — Peeksolve queries go straight to the model host.
Every lockdown feature of regular SEB — kept. Everything on top is additive.
Pick a plan above. After payment, the app downloads instantly. macOS may block it on first launch — just right-click the installer and choose Open.
Double-click the exam config your teacher gave you. PeekExam opens it exactly like regular SEB — same lockdown, same security.
That's it. Peeksolve is already running inside. Use any shortcut — screenshot, text, agent, god mode.
PeekExam is built on the open-source SEB codebase (MPL-licensed by ETH Zürich). It opens .seb config files and applies the same lockdown as regular SEB, but Peeksolve runs natively inside it via Apple's WKWebExtension API. When you have a .seb file, you open it with PeekExam instead of the stock browser.
PeekExam adds the Peeksolve AI extension via Apple's WKWebExtension API, auto-update on launch, hardware-UUID device binding, and in-browser sign-in. The underlying lockdown behaviour (kiosk mode, URL filtering, security checks) comes from the original SEB codebase and works the same way.
Yes. Open any .seb file your teacher gives you — no modifications needed. PeekExam loads the config exactly like regular SEB, then Peeksolve starts automatically on top.
Day Pass — full access for 24 hours. Buy one before an exam, no subscription needed. Monthly — unlimited exams, billed every month, cancel anytime. Yearly — same as monthly but billed once per year at a lower rate (~CHF 20.75/mo). Every plan includes the complete Peeksolve AI: auto-fill, screenshot solve, all models. If you already have a Peeksolve Pro subscription, your remaining Pro days are credited when you switch to Monthly or Yearly.
This is normal — macOS blocks all apps that aren't from the App Store. Open the downloaded DMG, then right-click (or Control-click) "Install PeekExam" and choose Open. Click Open again in the dialog. You only need to do this once. Alternatively: System Settings → Privacy & Security → "Open Anyway".
Not yet. PeekExam currently requires a Mac running macOS 15.4 or later. Windows and iOS versions are not available yet. If your exam is on a Windows PC, PeekExam won't work — but you can use the regular Peeksolve Chrome extension for non-SEB exams.
